The Opportunity in Football is Still Early
Football is the most global sport in the world, yet in many ways, particularly in the United States, the infrastructure around the game is still developing.
Over the past several years, I’ve spent more time inside the game through club ownership, player development, and working closely with athletes and families navigating the pathway. That exposure has made one thing clear. There is a significant gap between the growth of the game and the systems supporting it.
At the club level, there is an opportunity to build stronger organizations that are connected to their communities and capable of sustaining long-term growth. At the player level, development pathways are still fragmented, with limited integration between training, performance, and mentorship.
Beyond that, there is a broader ecosystem forming. Retail, facilities, content, and services, all playing a role in how the game is experienced and supported.
These are not short-term opportunities. They require time, alignment, and a willingness to build with a long-term mindset.
Pitchside Holdings was created to operate within that space, investing in and supporting clubs, player development platforms, and football-related businesses that contribute to the long-term growth of the game.
The goal is not to chase volume. It is to be selective, to partner with the right people, and to build things to last.
We believe the next phase of football, particularly in the United States, will be shaped by those who are willing to invest not just capital, but time, experience, and intent.
